System: IKO – Ireland Cool Roof
Project Description:
Refurbishment/Upgrade 1,000 m2: IKO Carrara 4.5mm Capsheet fully torch bonded to primed existing membrane. This Cool roof system was selected by Dublin City Council in preparation for the installation of PV Solar Panels to the existing Library. The White reflective roof reduces the ambient air temperature and increases the PV panels productivity typically by 25%. The IKO Carrara also incorporates Air Care technology which converts Carbon Dioxide into harmless nitrates thus cleaning the air.
Future Access: We provided a new post and Cable fall restraint system complete with modular steps for a sloping roof area.
